The proposed closure of the South Kensington Post Office is a serious threat to our community and contradicts its stated mission to 'maintaining its branch network, ensuring services are readily accessible to communities in the UK.'  The closest alternative branches, in Gloucester Road and Fulham Road, are half a mile or further away, are not easy to get to or to access, and do not offer the full range of services that the directly-managed South Kensington branch does.  This poses an especially heavy burden on the elderly, anyone with mobility issues and young families.  We need this service in our community, not another cafe.
