We are delighted to report that the Onslow Neighbourhood Association (ONA) recently received a substantial grant from the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s
City Living Local Life Community Programme (CLLL).
Our application for this grant was awarded by Councillors Janet Evans, Greg Hammond, and Quentin Marshall, of our local Courtfield Ward, and we would like to express our immense gratitude to them. The grant recognised the fact that ONA has sustained significant expenses while opposing the Transport for London & Native Land planning application for South Kensington Station. During this long battle, we have worked closely with our councillors and MP and the neighbouring Brompton Association, Pelham Street Residents’ Association, and Pelham Residents’ Association to protect our neighbourhood from poorly designed over-development. The CLLL grant has significantly helped to replenish ONA’s funds after a period of sustained extraordinary expenditure on the planning appeal, whose outcome is still unknown.
This is vital to enable ONA to continue to protect and enhance the residential and environmental quality of the area we monitor, as we have been doing since 1972.
