Guest speaker Chris Lenon, author of Zero Carbon Our Choice
After a two year hiatus, ONA will finally be able to hold an in-person AGM. It will take place at the Institut Francais, 17 Queensberry Place, SW7 2DT, with drinks at 6pm and the meeting to start at 6:30pm. Our guest speaker will be Mr Chris Lenon, author of Zero Carbon Our Choice (2020). He will speak on the challenges of achieving net zero in an urban setting.
Chris has been involved in the impact of carbon for about 20 years. He was Global Head of Tax at Rio Tinto, global business chair working with the OECD on tax issues and Green tax chair working for Business Europe with the European Commission. Chris has solar panels and an air source heat pump in Daglingworth, near Cirencester, planted a wood in 2012, and drives an electric car. Chris blogs at www.zerocarbonourchoice.com. He helped Christchurch (Chelsea) appeal a planning decision and they now have a solar array on their Grade II listed roof.
We very much look forward to seeing members, guests and potential new members in real life--please bring a neighbour!
