ONA members will know that we depleted our financial reserves in 2021 and 2022, while successfully opposing the Native Land/TfL application to redevelop the area around South Kensington Station.  At the time of writing, an appeal is being heard against the unanimous rejection of this application by RBKC’s planning committee.  We urgently need to recruit new members, if we are to continue working with the Royal Borough and all the other neighbouring Residents’ Associations on this and other issues that will have a detrimental impact on this precious area of London.

Last spring, I gave all my neighbours a copy of our newsletter, with a note saying: Please do consider joining your wonderful Onslow Neighbourhood Association.  It only costs £20 a year.  We work tirelessly to protect and enhance our residential and environmental lives in this area.  Membership gives you the added benefit of an invitation to our annual summer Garden Party in Onslow Square, as well as our AGM and other special neighbourhood events!

This personal approach, to neighbours I know well, resulted in at least two new memberships in my street.  That doesn’t sound like much, but I had effectively trebled myself!  If everybody could do this, and bring in just one more member each, we would be overjoyed.  We can easily deliver extra copies of the newsletter to you, if you think you can help with this membership push.  Just drop us an e-mail at onslowna@gmail.com with your address and the number of newsletters you would like.  Please also direct people to this website https://ona.org.uk/ for more about ONA and our latest stories.
